Drain Fix That Don’t Have Harmful Effects

Drain Fix That Don’t
Have Harmful Effects

  • At one point or another, you did have your fair share of clogged drains. It doesn’t always mean you have bad plumbing, but because you may be just paying less attention to what you flush down the drain.
  •
  • Clogged drains are a nuisance, especially if they’re something you have to deal with every single day. As the days go by, they can easily become a sure source of damages in your home. Because they already pose a threat, a drain fix that does not have harmful effects would be a good find.

Drain Fix That Don’t Have Harmful Effects

  • Learn our best solutions for a clogged drain in your home that are safe and effective.
  1.
  2. Home-prepared solutions. Well, what’s a better way to stay away from caustic drain cleaners? Going eco-friendly often avoids the harmful effects in your plumbing. It does not only have the capability to clear clogs in your drains but also clean them. At no cost at all, these home solutions are especially safe and effective when properly used and carried out.

Home solutions that work magic in your drains

  •
  • Before giving you the details, keep in mind that similar to taking prescribed medicine, carefully follow the directions in using home solutions. This is because while they don’t have bad effects on your drains, using too much or too little might not work, or might trigger some problems.
  •
  • Steaming water. This method could not be more simple as you only need water and a kettle to prepare this. Once the water is steaming hot, carefully pour it down the drain. A couple of cups should be good if the clog is not stubborn enough to clear. It works perfectly in loosening the greasy gunks holding the clog together, like fats, oil, and even soap scum because they usually contain moisturizer that is made of lightweight oils. But, if your first attempt didn’t work, or if you have a porcelain toilet, sink, or plastic pipings, tick this solution off your list. Boiling water may cause damages beyond repair, so the key is just the right amount.
  •
  • Triple treat. Not only is your kitchen staple such as baking soda, salt, and vinegar good at cleaning, they are also life-saver when it comes to clearing weak clogs. As compared to chemical cleaners, these natural products are safe and do not have an effect on health when used. Scientists found these combinations to be an effective replacement for chemical drain cleaners. When you want to give this solution a try, be sure to carefully follow the 1 is to 1 ratio for all ingredients. Make sure to remove any standing water first, then pour the baking soda, followed by salt, then vinegar. Wait for 10 minutes, then flush it with the same amount of boiling water as previously suggested.

  • Hand tools – If you want to give your arms a good workout, you can also use a plunger to clear a clog. Make sure you’re using a working plunger. Damaged plunger is likely to create good suction and you may end up working harder than necessary to unclog your drain. Take it out from where you tucked it and place it on the toilet or sink mouth with the suction pad face down. You can apply vaseline on the suction lid to make sure it gets a good latch, then you can start plunging up and down while maintaining a good suction all throughout the motion.
  •
  • If you’re comfortable using an auger, you can also give it a try. Slide the auger down the drain and rotate the handle. The auger will move farther down to push the clog away when you do this. Keep repeating the steps until you can feel the clog has dislodged. Many times the plunger and auger will fix the issue and save you from hiring a plumber, but if you feel like you’re gonna end up reaching for your chemical drain cleaners, stop and call the professionals instead. It’s not all the time that chemical drain cleaners also worked, plus you will only end up with a drain full of toxic chemicals.
  •
  1. Professional drain cleaning – If using our number 1 and 2 solutions hardly changed anything at all, call the professionals. We have specialised tools to safely remove any type of clogs. Keep in mind that some clogs are simple, while others can be complicated to clear, that’s why we use different tools depending on the nature of the problem. No one tool fits all when it comes to clogs. It’s neither safe nor effective to use a plunger when the cause of a clog is the tree roots ravaging your sewer. Even the safest home-prepared solutions cannot clear a massive clog. Therefore, you’ll be better off calling us to fix the problem than waste time doing a lot of guesswork. Revolution Pipe Relining can clean your drains without a hit-and-miss result. It’s always absolute. If we think the problem requires more than just clearing, like trenchless sewer relining, we will explain it to you in detail before we get things underway.
  2.
  • Trenchless pipe relining – Along with professional drain cleaning, we can also perform a trenchless pipe relining in your drain or sewer pipe. This is when the clogs have already caused damages in your sewer system because of years of buildup that have gone undetected, or massive tree roots. That is why it’s always a good idea to call the professionals as soon as you notice signs of clogs. There’s sometimes more to clogs than what you think is just a minor repair. So why bother fixing it yourself? Our trenchless sewer relining service is a no-dig solution to repair fractured pipes, so your property is left intact during the entire procedure.

What Makes Trenchless Pipe Relining in Sydney Method Safe?

  •
  • It’s a no-dig technology so working on trenches and holes is avoided. It also means there’s no minimal damage to your surroundings or the environment. Oftentimes, a couple of holes are all the digging that needs done to provide an entry point for the equipment. Although no situation is alike, oftentimes you will find the plumbing relining method to be a better and safe option than digging a trench.
