Plunger – Tried and tested, this old school way of unblocking toilets will work effectively. All you need to have is a good suction and pumping skills to dislodge the blockages. Without any standing pour about a cup of baking soda into the toilet, followed by an equal amount of vinegar, or a cup of baking soda and a half cup of salt. Whichever combination you wish to use, allow the mixture to sit for several hours or overnight first, flush with boiling water, and you’re ready to go!

Chemicals – The quickest option amongst in the list, but is not recommended for porcelain toilet bowls. This should not be used longer than allowable time as it can produce heat enough to melt pipes and even crack porcelain toilet bowls if sitting for too long. Chemicals can also burn your skin and irritate your eyes, so it has to be used with utmost cautiousness.
