Pipe relining fixes the problem

What is Pipe
Relining?

Pipe relining is a trenchless repair method where a new pipe is created inside your existing pipe.

We insert a special resin-saturated liner into the damaged pipe. Once cured, it forms a seamless, durable new pipe that’s stronger than the original — all without digging up your property.

Most Frequent Questions

The key feature of this method is its ability to repair the pipe in question with limited or no excavation, fast, and simplified installation. What this means is timely pipe repair while avoiding risky and laborious trench works that are usually associated with an old-fashioned repair such as street closure, landscape destruction, building demolition, traffic jams, and other environmental repercussions which can be costly to correct. The drain relining takes place inside the aging or damaged drain pipes, and produces a seamless, jointless, in most cases, a more durable, equivalent to a completely brand new drain pipe. Stormwater and sewer Pipe relining in Sydney is suitable for both residential and commercial properties.

Inversion pipe relining and drag-in relining has 50-years design life. Sectional patching, when completed using fibreglass matting and silicate resin, can have a design life of up to 100 years.

In most cases, yes — pipe relining is considered superior to traditional pipe replacement. One of the biggest advantages is the warranty. At Revolution Pipe Relining, we offer a 50-year warranty on relining works, compared to the standard 6-year warranty usually offered with pipe replacement.

Relining products are also incredibly strong —  depending on the system used, they can be 5 to 10 times stronger than standard PVC pipes.

Another major benefit is that relined pipes are seamless, meaning there are no joints for tree roots to get back into.

With traditional pipe replacement, plumbers generally use what’s called a “Plumb Quick” — a rubber coupling used to connect old pipework to new pipework. These rubber joins are prone to tree roots as it perishes after a few years and you end up with the same old problem.

Most pipes can be relined. There are some situations where pipes are too badly damaged — for example, if the pipe has completely collapsed, severely corroded away, or has long missing sections.

That said, these cases are actually quite rare. To put it into perspective, over the last 6–7 years, inspecting around 20 different drains per week, we’ve only come across a small handful of pipes that genuinely could not be relined. Even in many collapsed pipe situations, we can often use robotic cutting equipment to remove damaged sections before relining the pipe.

The best way to find out if your drain can be relined is to book a free inspection with Revolution Pipe Relining. If you already have CCTV footage or photos of the drain, feel free to send them through to [email protected].
